Host Name: Hampton Roads Rowing Club
The Hampton Roads Rowing Club began in 1987 with a goal to foster recreational and competitive rowing in Southeastern Virginia. HRRC rows on the beautiful Lafayette River in Norfolk, and is comprised of approximately 100 members.
The Hampton Roads Rowing Club is a non-profit athletic and social organization dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and fun through the sport of rowing.
HRRC is committed to providing an environment for any level of rowing. This ranges from members who want to keep fit and socialise to the aspiring international. As a club we participate in local and national competitive regattas. Year-round rowing is available for both scullers and sweep rowers. Scheduled club rowing times for March – November are Saturday & Sunday at 8:00 a.m. to 12 p. m. and Tuesday & Thursday at 5:30 p.m. until dark. However, members are welcome to (and do) row during daylight hours seven days a week, weather permitting. HRRC is a member of the United States Rowing Association.
