2011 Pocock Grant Guidelines
DOWNLOAD GRANT APPLICATION (PDF)
Grants of between $500 and $1,000 each will be offered in 2008 (total amount $3000) to new Row for the Cure (RFC) regattas or new RFC events in existing regattas, as a match for new corporate support of that event. The purpose of the matching grants is to inspire the creation of new RFC events, encourage local businesses and corporations to support these events and increase awareness and support for local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Affiliates. Grant recipients and donor corporations will be acknowledged on the RFC Website.
The participating corporations will write their donation check to the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure on behalf of the regatta or events it is supporting. A copy of the check will be faxed to Kathy Frederick at 503-639-9774 and Penny Lewis at 206-328-4239. In response, a check from the Pocock Foundation will be written from the grant account to the corresponding local affiliate to match the corporate donation.
Regattas that receive grants will agree to use Pocock Racing Shells (PRS) branding for their event, which will include, for example, PRS name and logo on printed materials, race shirts, etc. at the level determined by the corporation’s donation.
New $1,000 Corporate Sponsors and the regattas they support will be listed on the RFC website home page in a separate box listing grant recipients. All Corporate Sponsors for each RFC regatta will be listed on the appropriate regatta’s page on the web site.
