I’m not a rower. Can I still host an event?

Yes!  Contact us for help reaching others in your community who are interested.

What does a host organization do?

The hosting committee selects an appropriate date, decides on the type of event, contacts the local Komen Affiliate, and arranges for support services.

What kind of help can I get for my Row for the Cure®?

When you register your event, you will be provided with a start-up kit which includes all kinds of tools you can use to make your event a success.

Why Row for the Cure®?

Many rowers and paddlers are so dedicated to their sport that when Breast Cancer touches their lives, the network of friends in the water community is a natural resource for making a difference.  Now all water sport participants have a ready made avenue to make that happen.

Where does my money go?

Your donation helps make it possible for your local Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to assist patients and families in your community. Of the funds raised, 75% stay local to educate about breast cancer and early detection, provide information and support to breast cancer survivors and their families, fund mammograms for women who are uninsured or underinsured, and fund transportation and treatment support for survivors. The remaining 25% of funds are disbursed to the Komen National Grant Program to continue funding groundbreaking research to find the cures.
